When Cyclone Titli triggered heavy rainfall in Odisha, a film team was shooting at an hour’s distance from Konark. Rajarshi Dey’s Subho Nababarsho, which resumed after a break and many hurdles, had to cross many more obstacles to
complete the Odisha leg of the shoot.
On Wednesday, the team was stuck at the shooting location, and returned to Puri, where they were putting up, with a lot of effort.
They spent the rest of the day shooting at the hotel. On Thursday, actors
Indrasish Roy and
Rudranil Ghosh shot at the beach, even as the director and the DoP kept the monitor and the camera covered to brave the rains. Since the flight to Kolkata was cancelled, the team hurriedly returned to the city via train.
Subho Nababarsho is about four women — a superstar, a danseuse, a homemaker-turned-chef and a private tutor — who connect after years. The film stars Arpita, Tnusree Chakraborty, Sudiptaa Chakraborty and
Raima Sen in the lead.
