Director duo
Shiboprosad Mukherjee and
Nandita Roy completed the shoot of their upcoming film, Belashuru, last month. Now, the film team has wrapped up the dubbing session. A few of the actors, who were a part of Belaseshe, will reprise their roles in Belashuru. However, the makers are saying that the film is not a prequel or sequel to their previous film. It, in fact, boasts of a completely new story.
The cast of Belashuru include
Soumitra Chatterjee, Swatilekha Sengupta, Rituparna Sengupta, Shankar Chakraborty, Aparajita Adhya, Anindya Chatterjee, Kharaj Mukherjee, Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee and others. The film is slated for a mid-2020 release.
It’s also double the celebration for the cast and crew members since Belaseshe completed five years yesterday.
Belaseshe revolved around the bonding of the members of a family. The story of Belashuru, too, revolves around an elderly couple Biswanath Sarkar (Soumitra Chattopadhyay) and Arati Sarkar (Swatilekha Sengupta). It focuses on different relationships that exist within a family and the bond that parents, children and other members of the family share with each other. Actor Anindya Chatterjee, who plays a pivotal role in the film, said, “I’m thrilled that I have wrapped up the dubbing for Belashuru.
Surprisingly, my social media account is coming up with memories of Belaseshe’s shooting. I can’t believe it’s been five years of Belaseshe and we are almost ready with Belashuru! Working with Shibuda and Nanditadi is always a delight. Not only do they treat you like family, they also present you with a family on screen that eventually becomes more like an extended family in your real life.”
