Now, the four-time national award winning director has made a documentary-feature on a more serious issue. The upcoming documentary-feature, titled ‘
Adhikar
’, deals with the struggles faced by
unorganized labours
in our country and the shooting part has already been wrapped up for ‘Adhikar’ which is being made with funding received from the unorganized labours.
When speaking about his upcoming project, the 85-year-old director said, “In India, almost 90% of the labour force is still unorganized. Be it coal mine, tea garden or Sunderbans, the situation is same everywhere. So, after ‘Bhalobashar Bari’, I decided to make a docu-feature on them. Shooting has already been completed. It’s now in post-production stage. We have tried to make this docu-feature as realistic as possible. There are stimulations in some scenes. But you won’t see any big names in the cast.”
