Churni Ganguly’s ‘Tarikh’ tends to focus on the positive outcomes of social media along with addressing issues of intellectualism, loneliness, and relationships. With a stellar cast of Saswata Chatterjee, Ritwick Chakraborty and Raima Sen, the film received appreciation from all corners.

While speaking about the film’s relevance, Churni had said earlier: “Social media is indispensable in our daily lives these days. We share photographs, take time out to celebrate birthdays and other special happenings. While so many misunderstandings happen on social media some misunderstandings are cleared as well with the help of social media. It’s after seeing such incidents and also personally experiencing them, the story idea for the film came up. A person may be dead but if you visit their social media timeline, it feels like the person is not dead at all. It would look like he or she is still alive. If you check the social media posts of a person, you also get a timeline of the person’s activities. That’s why the sub-title of this film is Tarikh- A Timeline. It celebrates life.”
