It’s
Tanusree
Shankar’s
birthday
today. The danseuse, who is spending time with her daughter
Sreenanda
in Mumbai, said, “After being at
home
for a year, I wanted to get away for a few days, and what could be better than spending my birthday with my daughter. I turned 65 today and I am overwhelmed with the love and good wishes from my friends, family, students, and colleagues,” said Tanusree.
Tanusree got a big surprise at midnight with a fabulous cake brought by her niece. “It was fun cutting the cake at 12. Today, I have been relaxing with my daughter and her two pets, Diva and
Hippie
, since morning. I had French toast with maple syrup for breakfast and Akuri (a Parsi style egg preparation) for lunch made by Sreenanda. Dinner is going to be fancy food cooked, again, by my daughter. She is making prawn pulao, and mutton for dinner,” said Tanusree.
Sreenanda is happy that her mother is in Mumbai after a year. “Ma being in Mumbai for her birthday is special to me because she’s come to my home in Mumbai after one whole year. I think this pandemic has made me value my close relationships even more,” she said.
