Ahead of the much-awaited theatrical release on August 19, director Anurag Kashyap along with his lead actors Taapsee Pannu and Pavail Gulati gave a quick visit to Kolkata to promote his film ‘Dobaaraa’. There was also a special screening of the film hosted by Tollywood superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee. The screening was also attended by popular actress Rituparna Sengupta who incidentally will share the screen with Anurag in the upcoming film ‘Bansuri’. Both Rituparna and Prosenjit even posed for a candid picture with Taapsee and Anurag after the screening.

Taapsee and Pavail were also spotted at the Kalighat Temple this morning offering pujas and seeking blessings from Maa Kaali.

While speaking to the media, Taapsee shared what’s the one thing she loves the most in Kolkata. According to her, the cine buffs here analyze movies with a lot of depth and emotions. For Taapsee, visiting Kolkata is always a pleasure because the kind of reception she gets here it makes her feel that perhaps she has her roots in Bengal. The seasoned actor is overwhelmed to receive so much appreciation for their film’ Dobaaraa’ in Kolkata.

Meanwhile, speaking about the current trend of boycotting Bollywood films on social media, Taapsee claimed that it now seems the entire movement lacks the relevance it had initially and it also disrespects the intellect of the audience. She further added that Not only she but even Anurag Kashyap sees it as a joke now and they are simply not thinking too much about the boycott calls.
