Sweet treats Tollwood actors can’t resist during festive season

Diwali is that time of the year when everyone stops counting calories and indulges in mithai. “Nut-based sweets and laddoos are hot-sellers,” said Laxmi Kant Balasaria of Gokul Sweets. According to Sudip Mullick of Balaram Mullick & Radharman Mullick, hampers with kaju katli, motichur laddoo, and Bengali sweets like jolbhora and korapak sandesh are loved by Kolkatans. Rajiv Paul of Hindustan Sweets shared, “Ghee-fried chitrakut and Bhai Phonta-themed sandesh are big hits.” Garima of Gupta Sweets said that laddoos and motipak are Diwali staples.
