Swastika to star opposite Ritwick

Director Partha Sen had Swastika Mukherjee in mind from the moment he conceived the story of Anubrata, Bhalo Aachho?
And the actress had absolutely no qualms about playing a woman in her late forties when she gave her nod to the film. She loved the script, and the director got what he was looking for ��� a powerful actress with no inhibitions.
���The reason Bhebli (Swastika) was on my mind while penning the story was because she is one of the few actresses who can do justice to any role.She was game when I told her that she would be playing a plain-looking woman with grey hair. Jaya, whose husband is in death bed, can���t possibly be seen all dolled up, right? And Swastika knows that very well,��� Partha said.
As for the male lead, the director said he had initially thought of Saswata Chatterjee and Kaushik Sen but both actors had too busy a schedule. It was then that Ritwick Chakraborty came into the picture. ���Ritwick, is a powerhouse when it comes to acting, and when I did the look test of Anubrata with him, I could see the character come alive! He is so natural in front of the camera! The film is about Jaya and Anubrata���s fight for existence and the powerful bond that develops between them at the hospital. Both characters are extremely complex and have various layers, and only talented actors like them can essay such roles,��� Partha said.
The film, which went on the floors yesterday, has Soumik Haldar as DoP, Mayukh Bhowmick as the composer and Pranoy Dasgupta as the editor. The entire film will be shot in Kolkata.
