The shooting of Debarati Gupta’s second directorial venture ‘Onek Diner Pore’ has just been wrapped up. The women-centric film revolves around four schoolmates who return to their childhood days in a get together after a gap of 18 long years.
Swastika Mukherjee, Sudipta Chakraborty, Rupanjana Mitra and
Palomi Ghosh have been cast to play the lead roles of the four girls.
As per the narrative, Swagata (Swastika) contacts all her batch-mates through Facebook after 18 years.
Eventually out of 150 girls, only four turn up for the get together. These four batch-mates develop a complex equation between themselves. Slowly, as they get close enough, many secrets from the past are revealed and images are destroyed.
The story delves into the complex nature of success and failure while looking into the realities hidden behind our normal life. The film also sheds some light on social media and its harsh reality. Right now, the post-production of the film is going on and the makers are eyeing a winter release this year.
