Susmita to play diverse characters in her upcoming projects

Susmita Chatterjee is keeping a busy schedule these days. The model-turned-actress is part of three films- PB Chaki’s film

, Sudeshna Roy and Abhijit Guha’s Jai Kali Kolkatawali and Sanjoy Nag’s Hindi film titled Tasveer Se Bigdi Hui Taakdeer Bana Le. “I play Bela, a food delivery girl in this film which is a romantic thriller. Amitosh Nag Pal plays the male lead opposite me in this project. The film revolves around what happens when Amitosh comes to Kolkata in search of his dad. He meets my character Bela who helps him in his mission and a relationship develops between them. While Amitosh searches for his missing dada, unforeseen incidents crop up and the story takes a turn. We shot during Durga Puja as the backdrop of the film is Durga Puja and the director wanted real locations. The whole directorial team was from SRFTI and we had a great time shooting,” said Susmita, who will be travelling to Agra in end of January to complete the shooting of the film.

will also be travelling to North Bengal in January to shoot the song-and-dance sequences of Paka Dekha where she is cast opposite Soham Chakraborty. “I play Tiyasha in this film and the character is extremely relatable. Joy (Soham) and Tiyasha meet each other in their office area for the first time. Although Joy is a bank employee, his day runs around the clock. Tiyasha works for an IT firm. She fails to balance other things in her life due to immense pressure at work. Now, on the other hand, Tiyasha’s father wants her to get married to Joy.
