Suman Ghosh’s ‘Basu Paribaar’ to release in April

‘Basu Paribaar’ directed by Suman Ghosh has one of the best ensemble casting in recent times. Rituparna Sengupta, Aparna Sen, Soumitra Chatterjee, Sudiptaa Chakraborty, Jisshu Sengupta, Saswata Chatterjee, Paran Bandopadhyay, Lili Chakraborty – you name it and everyone is here to enthral you.
Shooting for the film was wrapped up way back in 2017 and then it was a long wait for the entire team. Now, the wait is finally over.The much anticipated family drama is releasing in April. However, the exact date hasn't yet been confirmed. Given the title ‘Basu Paribaar’ you may think of a typical family drama but the director has promised already there will be some mystery elements. The plot is inspired by a story written by Irish novelist James Joyce.
Soumitra Chatterjee and Aparna Sen will be reuniting on screen after a gap of almost 19 years. The ageless pair was last seen together in ‘Paromitar Ekdin’ (2000). While this is Suman Ghosh’s 4^th film with Soumitra, he is collaborating with Aparna Sen for the first time.
