Now the critically acclaimed filmmaker is ready to tell us the story of the first man in Jharkhand who received Aadhar card. Initially, he had no such plan to make a Hindi film but somehow this particular story is based in Jharkhand.

During a recent chat, the acclaimed director revealed what triggered the story idea of his first Bollywood film ‘Aadhaar’, “I came across the story in an article on Aadhaar card from The New Yorker and seed of my story was founded back then, in 2011. I penned the story after the synopsis was selected in Busan International Forum in 2016. Aadhaar is basically a social satire. It captures modern India and a unique story of a common man.”

Produced by Manish Mundra’s Drishyam Films, ‘Aadhaar’ has already wrapped up its shoot.
