Sudiptaa finds dubbing boring
Sudiptaa Chakraborty is on cloud nine. The actress just completed shooting for Suman Ghosh’s film titled Searching for Happiness... where she acted with her daughter Shahida. “It was a wonderful experience to play mother to my daughter in reel too. We were shooting from December 23 to 30 and for the first time I was all nerves. I was nervous because I thought whether Neera (my daughter) will able to deliver.

But strangely, she was at its best. The film shows that Shahida’s mother draws a smiley in a ballon which she names it as Happiness and by mistake Shahida let’s go of the ballon. Shahida fears that her Happiness has gone with that ballon, so she asks every stranger she meets at the street whether they have found Happiness. The film is not scripted and is being made naturally as Shahida reacted on the sets with the strangers. She just loved the experience as she was pampered to the hilt by all. One day she fell off to sleep so the whole team had to wait for Neera to get to start work,” said the actress with a smile.
Not many know that Sudiptaa is not fond of dubbing as she finds it boring. Though she dubbed Raima Sen’s voice in Rituparno Ghosh’s film Chokher Bali. “I am happy that on Friday I will finish dubbing for Soukarya Ghoshal’s film Bhoot Pori. I am a spontaneous actor so I always feel that my master track sounds much better than the dubbed track. I always feel I can’t reach to perfection through dubbing. But I am fine when I dub for other actors though,” said the actress.
