Sudeshna-Abhijit's next film is a comedy

Abhijit Guha and Sudeshna Roy have made a film for television titled Jamai Elo Ghorey. The comedy stars Ridhima Ghosh, Samadarshi Dutta, Sabyasachi Chakrabarty and Tulika Basu. Surajit Banerjee has done a cameo in the film. The story revolves around Dibyakanti who, after getting his daughter married with great pomp, decides to take a break from his professional life.He carefully plans out how he is going to enjoy his freedom in the comfort of his home. He had a plan chalked out —reading books, enjoying morning sunshine, listening to music, eating homemade Bengali food and relaxing on his rocking chair. But things turn haywire when his son-in-law Palash arrives at his place with no intention of leaving soon. As days go by, Palash not only takes over most of his favourite things. Dibyakanti's peace and happiness disappear and his holiday, the one he thought of, ruins. In desperation he decides to take the matter head on and teaches his son-in-law a lesson. What Dibyakanti does forms the crux of the film. “One has to watch this hilarious tussle between a father-in-law and son-in-law to know how things unfold. I had watched Benu (Sabyasachi) in Cholo Potol Tuli and realized that his comic timing is brilliant. This is the reason I caste him in Jamai Elo Ghorey and he is just unbelievably good in this film. I wanted to show that men too should be emancipated like women. Why is it always said that daughter-in-law should be treated as daughter? Why shouldn’t son-in-law be treated as a son?” reasons Sudeshna.
