Subrat is in Kolkata today on his birthday

Actor Subrat Dutta, who has been part of many Bengali films like

Chaturanga

, Achin Pakhi, Pakaram,

Bibar

and others, is in Kolkata today on his birthday. “I just landed in Kolkata after shooting the film, Varanas Vanilla. I am here on dubbing work,” he said.
Not one to celebrate his birthday, Subrat said he loves to spend quiet time on this day. “In the morning, I visited a temple in Benaras. I am missing my daughter, who is in Guwahati, as she is busy with her school’s annual programme,” said the actor, who recently got divorced.
About his plans for the day, Subrat said, “I am going to my brother’s house in Golf Green. I come here often and stay at a guest house for shoots, but the comfort of home is what I have been craving for. My brother recently took this house and I really am looking forward to spend time with him and my sister-in-law.”
Subrat, who has several work commitments in Bengal, wants to be in his hometown in Bankura. “My parents live there and I am a regular to Bankura. I really want to hold theatre workshops there and look out for talent. After me, there hasn’t been another actor from Bankura, but I am sure there’s a lot of talent out there. If I find good actors, I can even organise their training in Delhi,” he said.
On the work front, Subrat recently completed Josef - Born in Grace, which has already been selected in a handful of film festivals.
