Poila Baisakh marks New Year for we all Bengalis as across the globe people celebrate this day. This year, however, things are different but let that not dampen our spirits. With the vaccines rolled out, Noboborsho 2021 was meant to be a revival of familiar New Year rituals or at least one hoped so but the second wave of COVID-19 has made things worse.Wear a mask, maintain social distancing, keep sanitizing – that’s what celebs have been pleading amid a cautious celebration.
Many Bengali celebs including Prosenjit Chatterjee, Rituparna Sengupta, Nusrat Jahan, Srabanti Chatterjee and Priyanka Sarkar among others took to the social media to wish fans and followers on the occasion of Poila Boishakh. They also urged people to stay safe and stay at home amid the lockdown issued to contain the coronavirus spread.
