It's not every day that a Bengali film creates so much buzz around it. Praktan, which roped in Tollywood's two biggest stars -Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta -together after 15 years, has already been declared a a box-office hit. No wonder Team Praktan was beaming with joy at the film's success party at a city club on Friday evening.
Director duo Shiboprosad Mukhopadhyay and Nandita Roy played perfect hosts, attending to the film's cast, media and other invitees.
I'm really glad that so many friends and wellwishers, including theatre owners and distributors, turned up to share our excitement and joy . It's a great reward and incentive for all of us. I have no words to express my gratitude, said Shiboprosad.
Presenter of the film, Atanu Raychaudhuri, was all smiles as he said, Credit goes to the entire team for making it a success story .We wish to continue with the good work in future as well.
While Prosenjit Chatterjee managed to squeeze in some time from his busy schedule, his onscreen `praktan' Rituparna Sengupta, who's currently out of station, was sorely missed. His second on-screen wife, Aparajita Adhya, however, dropped in a pretty magenta dress, while Monami Ghosh was spotted happily clicking selfies with friends.
It was good to see senior members of the cast, Soumitra Chatterjee and Sabitri Chatterjee, having a good time. Also present were
Abir Chatterjee, Usha Uthup, Dr Rupali Basu, CEO, Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals, Kolkata, and Anindya Chatterjee, among others.
