Srijit ropes in a stellar cast for his upcoming social drama

On Tuesday afternoon, filmmaker Srijit Mukherji took to social media to post a picture with actors Arjun Chakrabarty, Phalguni Chatterjee, Kaushik Sen, Kaushik Ganguly, Ritwick Chakraborty, Ananya Chatterjee, Rahul Arunoday Banerjee, Suhotra Mukhopadhyay, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Sauraseni Maitra, Anirban Chakrabarti and Kanchan Mullick. Captioned ‘Asholey #ShottyiBoleyShottyiKichhuNei’, it was to announce the cast of his upcoming social drama. As per sources, four other names from the cast are yet to be announced. The film is based on a play, Ek Ruka Hua Faisla, which was made into a film in 1986 by Basu Chatterjee. The play is an adaptation of Reginald Rose’s courtroom drama 12 Angry Men (1957).
Talking about her first film with the Dawshom Awbotaar director, Sauraseni says, “I’ve always been fond of Srijit da’s film making. It’s a double win for me because the cast is spectacular.”
Even though Anirban Bhattacharya and Rudranil Ghosh were speculated to be a part of the project, they are not a part of the cast anymore.

The shooting will commence in June and the shots are going to be filmed in Kolkata itself– Srijit Mukherji
