On 24 February, violence had erupted in

Northeast Delhi

between groups who are in support of the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act and those who continue to protest against it. So far, 13 deaths have been reported, including a Delhi Police head constable and even curfew has been imposed. While the entire nation is in shock, many Tollywood celebrities including Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Srijit Mukherji and others also took to social media to condemn the violence.

Here’s what eminent film director Srijit Mukherji wrote on his Twitter handle:
Actor-filmmaker Parambrata Chattopadhyay wrote: “No it’s not shocking, not anymore. The pogrom was on, it’s only become open now. From the pathetic, helpless lot of ours, the aware & conscious might find a mirror image of what we might be remembered as(sadly) in “Hunters” on prime video. Good luck with sleeping!”
