Srijit Mukherji releases the trailer for new detective drama starring Kay Kay Menon

Known for making detective films with iconic literary characters like Kakababu, Feluda, and Byomkesh Bakshi, Srijit Mukherjee is all set to bring another mystery narrative inspired by the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in a web series named Shekhar Home. Giving an interesting Indian spin on the celebrated detective Sherlock Holmes, Kay Kay Menon will portray the titular role in the series.The first look of the series was unveiled a few days ago, with Menon seen wearing a coat and a hat, with a hint of suspicion in his eyes. Srijit took to social media to share the poster, writing, “Piece it together and you'll realize HE is the only one who can solve all mysteries (sic).” The trailer, which was launched on Thursday, takes viewers through the old Kolkata alleys and rural parts of Bengal. Menon is seen wearing a Bengali-style cotton Panjabi paired with black-rimmed glasses and using phrases often used to describe brilliant detectives in dramas, such as satyanweshi and high functioning sociopath. The series also features Ranvir Shorey, Rasika Dugal, Kirti Kulhari, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in pivotal roles.
