Srijit Mukherji has been busy responding to anniversary wishes since his wife
Rafiath Rashid Mithila posted a picture of theirs on social media this morning with the caption, “It's been a year
@srijitspeaketh (sic).” But it’s not their anniversary today; it was on December 6 last year.
“On this day last year, we had the wedding reception party and Rafiath posted a picture from that celebration night. And people are taking it to be our anniversary. So many people are calling and texting to wish me. I am thanking them for their love and wishes, but also telling them that it’s not our anniversary today,” said the director.
So, are they celebrating the day as they did a year back? “My wife is in Dhaka. I was also there, but went to Mumbai from there to complete the dubbing for an OTT project. I am back in town now but Rafiath is still in Dhaka. So, no celebration today,” said Srijit with a smile.
When asked if he’s decided on a release date for Kakababu now that 100% occupancy is allowed in theatres, he said, “People are still afraid of going to theatres. I’m sure things will improve with time. We are planning to release Kakababu during
Durga Puja,” said Srijit.
