Sreelekha in a short film dealing with depression

Sreelekha Mitra who recently wrapped up the shoot of her debut directorial will soon be seen in a short film on depression and how it affects one’s life. Directed by Mrinmay Sarkar, the short titled ‘Loop’ also stars Anindo Sarkar and Jammy Banerjee in the lead. The cinematography is by Pramit Das.

The plot revolves around Sreelekha Dutta (Sreelekha Mitra) who was once a renowned actress but now she’s suffering depression and anxiety.She is slowly becoming an alcoholic. Her husband (Anindo Sarkar) is a well-known businessman and is out of town most of the time for his business trips. So, a lonely Sreelekha finds solace in alcoholism while recalling her glorious showbiz life. Then one day, a young man Sankha (Jammy) visits her house seeking help and life changes forever. What happens next forms the crux of the film.
The shoot of this intense short has already been wrapped up and the entire team is eagerly waiting to see how the audience responds to the slice-of-a-life drama.
