Srabanti will leave for London in September to shoot for Sayantan Ghoshal’s yet-untitled film which sees Prosenjit Chatterjee opposite the actress. This is the second time the two will share the screen after Kaushik Ganguly’s ‘Kaberi Antardhan’.
Srabanti and Prosenjit will be seen as a married couple with a huge age difference between them. The plot will show how they get trapped in a crisis and whether they manage to get out of it or not. The whole story is in the backdrop of London. Apart from these two actors, the film also has Ayoshi Talukdar in a key role. Bangladeshi actor Siam Ahmed will also be making his Tollywood debut with Sayantan’s film.
This is also the second time Srabanti will be working with Sayantan after the thriller ‘Rabindranath Kabya Rohosho’ where she is paired opposite Ritwick Chakbaorty.
The actress is also part of an upcoming romcom. She has already completed the shooting for Robin Nambia’s film ‘Dear D’ which also stars Krushal Ahuja and Ditipriya Roy. Her last film ‘Achena Uttam’ wherein she played the character of Uttam Kumar’s wife Gauri Debi received a mixed response from the audience.
Meanwhile, Prosenjit is gearing up for the trailer release of his upcoming film ‘Kacher Manush’ wherein he will be sharing the screen with Dev and Ishaa Saha. The film also has Susmita Chatterjee in a key role.
