We have seen many on-screen jodis in Tollywood over the years, right from Uttam-Suchitra, Soumitra-Tanuja to Prosenjit-Rituparna. But, in 21st-century Bengali cinema, it’s hard to find an on-screen couple who is consistently doing films without breaking their partnership.
Soham Chakraborty and
Srabanti Chatterjee are doing exactly the same. The adorable pair has delivered hits like ‘Amanush’, ‘Fande Poria Boga Kande Re’, ‘Sudhu Tomari Jonyo’ and ‘Katmundu’ in recent times.
Speaking about her on-screen chemistry with Soham, the Bengali diva said, “I have done ‘Mayar Badhon’ with Soham Da. ‘Amanush’ was also a hit. The audience has always loved our pairing. Even on social media, we used to face a lot of questions about when our pair is coming back. Our next film ‘Piya Re’ is releasing this month. Surinder Films has also cast us in their next project. Actually, I am a very emotional person. The bonding between us is so perfect that whenever there is an emotional dialogue from Soham Da, I am left with teary eyes.”
Soham and Srabanti will be seen together in four back-to-back films in the coming months. The first one is Abhimanyu Mukherjee’s ‘Pia Re’ which is releasing on July 27.
