Sourav couldn’t believe when Anjan Dutt offered him a role in his thriller

When Sourav Chakraborty first got the call from Anjan Dutt for an important role in his next, a murder mystery set in Darjeeling he couldn’t believe it. Anjan had called him when Sourav was driving and he had to park the car to realize that it’s Anjan Dutt who called him for a role.
“I was speechless when I got the call from Anjan Dutt. It took me quite some time to digest that offer has come from Anjan Dutt’s project.I am also an actor and filmmaker at the same time, so it was a superb experience as I got to learn a lot of things from him while shooting for it,” Sourav shared who will be seen as a filmmaker roaming around Darjeeling to make his next film and he has yet another reason to be in Darjeeling but that's secret.

The murder mystery also stars Arjun Chakrabarty, Anindita Bose, Suprobhat, Rajdeep, Sandipta, Rajat Ganguly, Saswati Guhathakurta among others in key roles. The thriller is about a suspicious death of a Bengali film star of the ’90s that exposes the underbelly of Darjeeling’s past. Arjun who will be seen as an investigative journalist in this thriller says it’s an extremely dark story filled with very complex characters, who are all contemporary and young.

Meanwhile, Sourav is also busy with his poetry videos which have become a hit on social media. The pandemic has inspired us to pause and reflect and that’s what guided actor-director Sourav Chakraborty to take solace in poetry. Sourav’s tryst with poetry goes long back.
