Soumya Mukherjee to share screen space with Rani Mukerji next?

The latest buzz to take Tollywood by storm is that actor Soumya Mukherjee – who played the male lead in Anindya Chattopadhyay’s Prem Tem – is part of Rani Mukerji’s next feature film, Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, which is being directed by Ashima Chibber. Dedicated to all mothers, the story of the film is about true human resilience. Soumya, who is tight-lipped about the project, told CT, “I can’t comment on this project at all.”
We heard that during the first phase of the lockdown Soumya even took Hindi classes to get a grip on the language. On being asked what that was for, he said, “I was getting bored, so I took the initiative of learning a new language. And there is no harm in learning something new. That’s it.”
Talking about Anindya (Chattopadhyay), who is like a mentor to Soumya, the actor said, “As a director, Anindya sir spoils you. One can never get a director like him. He is my mentor. My parents were down with COVID when his parents too got infected by the virus. But every day, Anindya sir used to call me to check on my parents’ health and asked me if I needed anything.”
Soumya is also part of Rahool Mukherjee’s Ami O Amar Madhuri. “I play a salesman on a train. He is a fan of Madhuri Dixit. However, in real life, I am a big fan of Kajol,” said the actor with a smile.
