Soumitrisha debuts on OTT

The much-anticipated first look of the show Kaalratri, has already generated a buzz, with fans lauding Soumitrisha’s aka Mithai mesmerizing portrayal of Debi, a bride-to-be entangled in a gripping mystery. The series which is a murder mystery is directed by Ayan Chakraborti.
The story begins amidst the vibrant setting of Debi’s gaaye holud, a traditional pre-wedding ceremony filled with joy, music, and rituals. Soumitrisha dazzles in the first look, embodying a bride glowing with anticipation yet shadowed by foreboding unease.
Soumitrisha’s powerful performance as Devi, caught between fear and the hope for her upcoming nuptials, promises to leave viewers spellbound. “I am happy to debut on OTT with such a gripping story and a meaty character. I can vouch that this murder mystery will keep you guessing till the very end,” said Soumitrisha who played the lead opposite Dev in the film Pradhan.
The actress, became an overnight sensation with the success of her television drama, Mithai, which featured Adrit Roy as the male lead opposite her.
