If sources are to be believed, he has already found the protagonist of Ahalya 2, sequel to the epic thriller that broke the internet last year. And it���s none other than Soumitra Chatterjee!
The director, who has been looking to work with the veteran actor for a long time now, found the right script in Ahalya, a modern spin to the mythological story from Ramayana.

The short film, which was released on YouTube last year, garnered praises and criticism alike but was watched by lakhs. In months following the release, several filmmakers from Tollywood were seen treading the same route. Egged on by success, Sujoy announced the sequel to the film, which is now in the offing.

Says a source close to the filmmaker, ���Sujoy had a meeting with Soumitrada and requested him to be a part of his venture. Soumitrada, being extremely fond of the director, gave his nod.��� Now it���s left to be seen who will replace Tota Roychoudhury and the adorable Radhika Apte in the short. Sujoy, who is currently shooting Kahaani 2 with Vidya Balan in Howrah, had plenty of options in terms of actors, but told us before, ���If it���s a short, I would like to work with actors from Bengal.��� The short is likely to be Sujoy���s next after Kahaani 2.
