Soumik's film gets a name

It���������s no longer news that the Tamil ���������Singham���������, directed by Hari and featuring Suriya and Anushka Shetty, proved a source of inspiration for both Tollywood and Bollywood. While Raj Chakrabarty came up with ���������Shatru���������, Rohit Shetty scored with the more-recent ���������Singham���������.
The buzz now is that Soumik Chattopadhyay���������s film which is now titled ���������Phande Poriya Boga Kandhe Re��������� starring Soham and Srabanti, is a remake of the Telugu film, ���������Maryada Ramanna���������, a musical comedy directed by SS Rajamouli and starring Sunil and Saloni in the lead.Interestingly, the same Telugu film is being made in Bollywood by the name of ���������S.O.S.-Son Of Sardar���������. It is a romantic comedy directed by Ashwani Dheer with a starcast of Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha.
Is it a trend now to remake those films which will also have a Bolly counterpart? ���������A successful film is rare nowadays. Our aim is not to make a bad film but rather make a remake of a successful film, so that the audience can sit back and enjoy. That the film is also being made in Bollywood, I came to know much later,��������� said Shrikant Mohta, one of the producers of ���������PPBKR���������.
Talking about the title, he explained, ���������We took time to finalize the title because we were not getting a proper one to justify the subject of the film. It is about a family that believes in bloodshed but not within the family. The family, however, wants to kill Soham, who has taken shelter in their home. We wanted the comedy, not of error but of terror, to come through in the title. And, I feel, the uncanny title will create an interest.���������
Srabanti can���������t control her laughter after hearing the title. ������������������PPBKR��������� is an apt title for Soumikda���������s film, which is a full-on-comedy,��������� giggled the actor. Soham, is the ���������boga��������� in the film, trapped in Dipankar De���������s house. He can���������t do anything about his poor state as he will be killed the moment he steps out of the house.
He too is excited about the name. ���������The name suits the film. I hope the audience can relate to it,��������� Soham signed off.
Jeet Gannguli and Samidh have jointly scored the music. The songs will be shot in Mauritius.
