Soumik Haldar replaces Rahool Mukherjee as director for Prosenjit and Anirban's upcoming film

Rahool Mukherjee, who was set to direct Prosenjit Chatterjee and Anirban Bhattacharya’s upcoming film, has stepped down from the director’s chair and been replaced by Soumik Haldar. On July 20, the Federation of Cine Technicians & Workers of Eastern India issued a notice suspending Rahool from work for three months due to unlawful shooting. However, Rahool will join the project as a creative producer, as announced in an official communication from the production house.

The shooting was supposed to commence in mid-July. Speaking about the film, Soumik said, “I’m very excited and looking forward to working with the crew.” Alongside Prosenjit and Anirban, the film also stars Priyanka Sarkar and Aparajita Adhya in pivotal roles. The film is supposed to be a remake of the Tamil film Garudan.
