Soukarya Ghosal’s ‘Rowkto Rahosyo’ hits the floor tomorrow

Soukarya Ghosal hit the bull’s eye with his ‘Rainbow Jelly’ as it received rave reviews from the audience and critics alike. The children’s fantasy drama even bagged a number of awards from international film festivals.
Now, the talented director is all geared up for his second film which will be bankrolled by Surinder Films. Titled ‘Rowkto Rahosyo’, the upcoming thriller has Koel Mallick in the lead.It also stars Chandan Roy Sanyal, Basabdutta Chatterjee, Lily Chakraborty in pivotal roles and will hit the shooting floor on November 15. The film will be shot in and around Kolkata.
While elaborating on why he decided to cast Koel, Soukarya revealed he planned the whole thing keeping in mind Koel as the central character. “My protagonist has to be headstrong and an honest RJ. She handles a difficult phase earlier in life and later plans a payback. When I wrote the script Koel seemed perfect. My wife Puja worked with her on many projects as a costume designer and I approached her through my wife. She loved the script and reached out to Nispal Singh (her husband and co-owner of Surinder Films). He liked the story as well,” revealed Soukarya.
