Sonalee Chaudhuri blessed with a baby boy

On May 1, we had reported that actress Sonalee Chaudhuri and her husband Rajat Ghosh Dastidar are expecting their first baby by the end of May. But the actress delivered a baby boy at a city nursing home on Wednesday morning. Both Sonalee and the baby are doing fine.Speaking to us, the actress said, “It’s the best feeling in the world when you hold your baby for the first time. It’s inexplicable. Motherhood is bliss. But I’d hoped my baby would be born in a Covid-free world but that wish didn’t come true. I hope the situation improves and allows him to enjoy his childhood properly,” said Sonalee, adding, “Though Rajat and I just wanted a healthy baby but deep down, we wanted a baby girl. We had decided on names too. But now, Rajat, who is a big fan of former German goalkeeper Oliver Kahn, has named him Oliver.” Sonalee, who is extra careful while handling the baby given the current situation, said, “The baby is in the nursery, but whenever they give him to me to breastfeed, I wear a mask and sanitise my hands before touching him. I’m really worried about his safety.”
