For generations of actors, Rajinikanth has been the benchmark. Like many others in the industry, Bengali actor Soham Chakraborty, too, is a huge admirer of the South superstar. Not many people know that it was Soham who accompanied Rajinikanth during his visit to

Belur

and

Dakshineswar

for devi darshan at Dakshineswar mandir.

“I think almost every actor in our film fraternity, be it a new one or the actor who has been in the showbiz for 20 years, dream of achieving a status like Rajinikanth in their own rights. He is also a living example for countless people that hard work always pays off,” shares the actor.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth's latest release ‘

Annaatthe

’ which released in theatres on Diwali has once again hit the box office bull’s eye reportedly collecting more than Rs 250 crore already. Soham who has watched the film says, “This film shows why he’s an inspiration for all. He has been a trendsetter and has inspired generations of actors and many have also tried aping his unique style. I think he’s a favourite in every household, especially those who love mass entertainers. Not just the masses, even the biggest of the superstars also look up to him.”

Soham also recalls the memories of accompanying the megastar in 2018 during his Kolkata visit. “What moved me the most was that he didn’t come with any pilot car; only two people accompanied him and his manager. It was so inspiring to see his modesty. In fact, I was so surprised. I was puzzled about where to hide my two personal security officers,” shares the actor who is currently shooting for Premendu Bikash Chaki’s rom-com ‘Paka Dekha’.
