Soham and Arunima reunite for Amitabha Bhattacharya’s next
Arunima Ghosh had an enriching time working with Soham in Amitabha Bhattacharya’s 17th September. “This is my second film with Soham. We played a tribal couple in Ranjan Ghosh’s film, Rong Beronger Kori, which was an anthology film that weaved together four tales through the common thread of money. The film examined how money is more than just a medium of exchange, potent enough to influence and even define various facets of our everyday lives.

So, it was not an easy subject and our characters too were complex. While working with Soham, I learned a lot about the nuances of acting from him. The best part of working with him is that you also try to give your best as an actor since your co-actor is delivering his best,” said the actress.
She added, “In 17th September, I play his wife, and this time too, I learned a lot from him, especially how to use body language. Labanya is a difficult character as on one hand she loves her husband, but on the other hand she fails to continue the marriage.”
The film 17th September revolves around Neel and Labanya. They are a young couple who have come to Kolkata from the suburbs and belong to a joint family. The couple has applied for divorce. The reason for their divorce is monetary problems, which could not be solved even though both of them are working.
After
paying the EMI for the flat and the car, the family’s running expenses and maintaining a good standard of living in the city were proving an uphill task for them. As a result, they could not plan for a child. In such economic doldrums, Labanya goes ahead with a divorce, seeing no scope for a better life. The film will show whether Labanya and Neel get the divorce or they carry on with their married lives,” informed Arunima.
