The shoot of

director Dhrubo Banerjee

's film,

Golondaaj

, with Dev in the lead, is likely to start post monsoon. The shoot had to be stalled in March due to the

pandemic

outbreak and the director confirmed that they will take a call about it later.

Even though more than 50% of the shoot was over before March, Dhrubo is yet to shoot the climax of the film and for that he needs a huge crowd. “Because of this requirement, we (the director, producer and the actors) jointly took the decision to postpone the shoot. There is nothing more important than public health and safety," he said. Since it is a sports film of bygone era, the crowd cannot be seen in masks or using sanitizers,” he explained.

Golondaaj is based on the life and time of Nagendra Prasad and the events that follow during that time, but it is not a biopic. "It is good news that shooting of serials and OTT contents have started. Eventually, film shoots will happen too. We are closely following Bollywood, because they have already started their projects. As soon as theatres open and a few Bollywood films release, people will get their confidence back,” Dhrubo added.
