Shivendra Singh Dungarpur in Kolkata

Film archivist Shivendra Singh Dungarpur is in Kolkata today, along with and cinematographer Avik Mukhopadhyay. Dungarpur and Mukhopadhyay, who were at a city five-star property this afternoon, spoke about film preservation. For the next five days, they will teach Kolkatans the importance of film restoration, particularly of damaged Bengali films. Dungarpur works in collaboration with the Martin Scorsese Foundation and there will be participants from Academy of Motion Pictures, Imperial War Museum (London), Criterion Films etc.
