For actor
Shataf Figar, safety and work commitments go hand-in-hand. He is currently busy shooting at outdoor locations but is not compromising on the COVID protocols.
“As we speak, I just returned to Mumbai after shooting a TVC in Lonavala. Considering that these are risky times, people are being extra careful with social distancing and remembering to wear masks at the shoot.
I was happy to observe the cast and crew maintain this habit to the T. Proper sanitation of vans and personal belongings are also being done. These are very challenging times to get out and work, but one has to take the leap of faith and get out there with utmost precaution and do one’s duties,” said Shataf.
The actor has not been confining himself indoors much though is careful. “Ever since the lockdown has been relaxed, I have been out and about travelling to London and Scotland for work. I will be soon travelling to Dehradun. I have got myself tested four times and all the while the result has been negative. We have to go out and work but we need to make sure that we do that responsibly and sensibility,” he shared.
A big part of outdoor shoot is the scope to explore new places. When asked whether Shataf got an opportunity to do that, he said, “No, the production team asked the unit members not to roam around. We travelled just from the hotel to the shoot location and back to the hotel. That’s it.”
While Kolkata is starting to feel the nip in the air, is Shataf a fan of winter? “Absolutely missing the winters in Mumbai. But I might travel to Dehradun in December to shoot, if only the COVID situation permits us to. That will be amazing if we can. So, I plan to spend my New Year in
Rishikesh if the situation allows me to,” he said.
