Shataf Figar to share screen space with Kajol

debut in Pradeep Sarkar’s next film, Eela. The film stars the effervescent Kajol in the lead along with two pivotal male characters, of which one of them will be played by Shataf. “I was spotted by Pradeep Sarkar in the new coffee TVC which released in November last year. I got a call from Mukesh informing that I was being considered for Pradeep Sarkar’s next for an important role opposite Kajol! Naturally, I was thrilled. Then started the round of screen tests in Mumbai and meetings with dada (Pradeep). It took about a month for me to sign on the dotted line and seal the deal. I feel so fortunate to be a part of Eela and couldn’t ask for a better launch in Bollywood” said the actor who is back in Kolkata after a two day workshop with the Kajol. He added, “The experience in the last few months has been a memorable one and also a thrilling one at the same time. Yes, I knew that the next level for me was Bollywood after a four year stint which includes about 25 features films in Bengal and three national TVC’s and two plays. I’m getting ready for the most important 14 days of my life. I don’t want to divulge much about my part or character in Eela as I want this to be a surprise for my fans and followers. All I can say that it’s an important one. It’s a character that brings a breath of fresh air in the lives of the other characters and fills their lives with love and hope.”
