I have already completed shooting for my part: Shaheb
Shaheb Bhattacherjee will soon be seen in Onir’s Kuch Bheege Alfaaz. The director, who has a strong Kolkata connect, has been shooting across the length and breadth of the city, trying to capture the rains. He wanted a few Bengali actors to add a touch of Bangaliana to his story — an unconventional love saga. Though the two broken souls who connect eventually are played by Geetanjali Thapa and Zain Khan Durani, Shaheb will be seen in a cameo. The actor plays a radio show producer in the flick. “My character is also a friend of Alfaaz (Zain). I have already completed shooting for my part,” said Shaheb. In the film, Zain plays an RJ. Onir, who said he’s in good company on the sets, told us earlier, “There are a lot of Bengalis and they keep chatting in Bangla to my delight. I had seen Feluda and saw Shaheb there; he plays Topshe in the franchise. Each of my Bengali actors has a lot to contribute to the film.” The director added that being a Bengali, he is gorging on Bengali delicacies post work.
