Shaheb has best wishes for Sonam on her birthday

Shaheb Bhattacherjee has always been a doting brother. So, on his sister Sonam Bhattacherjee’s birthday, he took to social media and wrote: “What do i say about this lil girl of mine. Lets start by saying she is the DRAMA in our otherwise hectic, mundane lives. From childhood she has been my secret keeper. My confidante in my adventures. My football partner.The second in command in my gang. Usually brothers play that part, but she has been nothing less than a brother. Though most of the time she pretends to be my mother. My mom used to fondly call her CHENPTI, clearly i was the better looking of the two siblings. Mostly, She has been good to my girlfriends accepting them as her own (except one or two). And i have been the elder brother to her boyfriends (which she had very few) telling them "You break my sister's heart and i will break your leg". Our patriarchal society demands men to take responsibility of the family, but the first true sense of responsibility comes when you have a younger sister. A sense of belonging, an instinct of being protective. The fear of thinking someone can hurt her. Or even break her heart. All this and many more emotions makes the bond of a brother and sister. Not to forget the mandatory brother-sister banter that she was not actually born in our family, we found her at the railway station. So on your Birthday i wish this bond outlasts the test of time. Shaheb, who is shooting for Partha Sarathi Joardar’s film, said, “Each year, Sonam celebrates her birthday with us, but this year she couldn’t come from Bangalore as her in-laws are there. Her birthday gift is due and I could only send flowers and cakes to her from here.”
