Seema Biswas reunites with Shiboprosad Mukherjee after 32 Years for Raktabeej 2

In an exciting turn of events, acclaimed actress Seema Biswas will reunite with director Shiboprosad Mukherjee after more than three decades for the upcoming film Raktabeej 2. The collaboration marks their first joint project since the iconic film Lajja in which Seema portrayed the role of Shiboprosad’s mother.
The bond between Seema Biswas and Shiboprosad Mukherjee goes beyond professional camaraderie. Reflecting on their bond, the director shared, "The relationship with Seema di goes back to my early days in Mumbai, when I used to visit her house in Gokuldham, and she used to cook for me.” He also added "I am working with Seema di again after many years. We worked together in Lajja, where she played my mother. The role she has been roped in for in Raktabeej 2 is incredibly challenging, and I am looking forward to it."
Seema Biswas, known for her powerful performances, also shared her excitement, remarking, "We will work together after 32 years. Coming to Kolkata and speaking with Shibu feels even better now. I have seen how much depth he has gained as a director. I am what is called a director's actor and will bring the character to life exactly the way Nandita di and Shibu tells me."
Her return to Bengali cinema is expected to garner significant attention, especially with her stellar performance this Durga Puja. She was particularly impressed by Shiboprosad's earlier work in Bohurupi, which led her to reach out to him. She expressed her desire to collaborate once again, prompting her visit to Kolkata.
