“I grew up watching his timeless movies which inspired me to watch more movies. So, when I thought of filming a biographical story, quite naturally the maestro was my only choice. On the birth centenary celebrations, while paying tribute to him, I started conflicting with myself, am I even qualified? Then I decided that the indomitable journey of making his first film Pather Panchali, how it overcame all odds, and eventually put Bengali cinema on the world map, will be the subject of my film”, said director Anik Dutta.

This book will feature reviews published in various publications and shooting stills from different periods of making the film in addition to the full movie script.
