Sayantika Banerjee: I didn’t want personal fallout to affect our profession

Sayantika Banerjee has insisted that she always wanted to keep quiet about her deteriorating relationship with actor Joy Mukherjee. But since Joy demeaned her in public, the actress is now ready to tell her side of the story.While speaking about the recent brawl with her ex-boyfriend, the actress said, “I have seen many derogatory comments against me on social media recently. But, I decided to ignore them to maintain my dignity. I had no plans to disrepute Joy. Frankly speaking, I didn’t want our personal fallout to affect our profession, but now, had no other choice but to seek police help after the recent events. I wanted to resolve the differences mutually. But sadly Joy didn’t actually want to tread these lines.”Kolkata Police arrested Joy on 7 July on charges of assaulting Sayantika, but he was later released on bail. The case is currently under investigation. According to the actress, Joy was trying to forcibly drag her out from the car in the middle of the road and even abused her manager.
