What's the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear ‘travel’? Is it peaceful vacation or meeting new people? Or perhaps serene sunset pictures? While traveling can be exciting and sometimes exhilarating, it can be so much more than sipping cocktails on a sun-soaked beach. At least, actress Sayantani Guhathakurta feels the same. She’s an avid traveler and whenever there’s a scope she never misses a chance to go out for a holiday trip away from the city chaos.
“A long stretch of road can teach you more about yourself than a hundred years of quiet. In fact, these holiday trips rejuvenates me, says Sayantani who recently returned from her trip to Gujarat.
It’s been seven days she has returned to Kolkata and the actress still can’t get out of the holiday hangover. “It took me seven days to get back to my usual routine. I wish I could go back to the peaceful Mandavi beach in Kach. I have traveled so many places but believe me before visiting this beautiful seaside location I didn't know that a beach can be so chilling. It was so cold but I really enjoyed the trip. Visiting the Rann of Kuch was indeed an exhilarating experience for me and it became more special since I had a small group of like-minded friends with me. If you go through my Instagram timeline you would understand how exciting the trip was. I had so much fun,” shares an excited Sayantani.
Speaking about her trips to different places to escape the daily chaos the actress adds, “Even a small window between shoots is enough for to pack my bags. In all these years, I have realized the stress of work and our daily demands often distract us from what we means meaningful and interesting to us. We forget that there’s a peaceful life beyond this city life. We have become machines. So I never miss a chance to take a break from the daily hustle and bustle. It helps my mind to relax, recharge and rejuvenate.”
Sayantani for whom these holiday trips make her feel calm and content plans to pack her bag again in February for a short trip.
Meanwhile on the work front, Sayantani is waiting for the release of three of her films - Arnab Middya's Sedin Kuasha Chilo, Raajhorshee De’s ‘Maaya’ and Atiul Islam’s ‘Chatok’. Apart from these three films she will soon start dubbing for yet another film ‘Tribhuj’.
