After completing 10 days of non-stop shoot, actress

Sayantani Guhathakurata

now plans to enjoy at her brother's wedding ceremony. The actress said that though the shoot was hectic, it was refreshing in many ways. “Almost after two years, I have worked in a film and that is satisfying and reassuring at the same time,”

Sayantani

added.

It is Rajarshi Dey’s next film, Maya. The story revolves around a woman named Maya and the character is played by filmmaker Srijit Mukherji’s wife, Rafiath Rashid Mithila. The project also stars Gourav Chakrabarty, Rahul,

Tnusree Chakraborty

, Kamaleswar Mukherjee, Gourab Chatterjee, Koneenica Banerjee, among others.

“I play Chumki, who is a simple girl but slowly turns into a negative character due to the circumstances. I loved playing the character because of its different shades. In reality, I am exactly the opposite of Chumki and that’s why it was challenging for me to portray the character,” Sayantani said.

However, more than playing the character, Sayantani is happy to be able to start shooting. “After two back-to-back lockdowns, it felt like I would never be able to go back to the sets and act. Several projects were shelved and I was fighting really hard to stay sane and productive all this while. But, as soon as I faced the camera, all negative feelings disappeared,” Sayantani added.
