Saurav Das has resumed the shoot of his next film ‘Metre Down’, being directed by debutant Kingshuk Sharkhel. The film also stars Poulomi Das, Paramita Mukherjee, Suvosmita Mukherjee, Swikriti Mazumder, Apratim Mukherjee and Suman Chakraborty in key roles.
The story revolves around Raju (Saurav), a yellow taxi driver from Kolkata. However, the harsh treatment from society and inevitable circumstances eventually changes him as a person and it affects Raju’s life in a big way. What happens next forms the crux of the story.
Kingshuk who is making his debut as a director is an alumnus of Ramoji Academy of Film and Television. He has already worked as an assistant director in a number of critically acclaimed Bengali films.
The film’s music is being composed by Amlan Chakraborty and Dev Goswami. What’s interesting is some of the big names from the Bengali music fraternity like
Nachiketa Chakraborty, Somlata Acharya Chowdhury, Subhankar De, Ishan Mitra and Bangladeshi singers Sinthi Saha and Imran Mahamudul have rendered their voices for the songs. The background score is being created by Bhaskar Sen.
