Saurav Das thrilled to play the protagonist in Souradip Banerjee’s film
Saurav Das is happy to play the lead for the first time in director Souradip Banerjee’s film, Korapak, which also stars Paayel Sarkar, Anindya Chatterjee, Rii and others in the lead. The film is a romantic comedy where it shows that if one is true to his/her emotions, then love survives.
The film is about Dev and Priya, who meets each other accidentally. Initially, they become friends but gradually fall in love. But, there is a problem between them. They are confused regarding their marriage and whether they really feel for each other. So, they decide to stay away from each other for six months to know where they stand. In the meantime, Dev meets a girl through an online dating site and Priya comes to know that her boss likes her. So whether Dev and Priya meet at the end is what this film is all about.
In real life, Saurav is in a live-in relationship with Anindita Bose and the character Dev, which he is essaying in the film, is on those lines. “I am in a live-in relationship and I feel it helps build compatibility between partners. But at times, there might be space issues too, which Anindita and I don’t face as we don’t breathe on each other’s necks. Trust is the pillar of any relationship. I plan to tie the knot with Anindita after a year maybe,” said Saurav.
The actor is excited to share the screen as a co-actor with Kamaleswar Mukherjee in Ghun where the latter plays the role of a professor. “Goutam Ghose was supposed to play this role. I heard he is unwell so Kamalda has replaced him. Kamalda directed me in Goodnight City, but working with him as a co-actor is dream come true. He brightens up a scene with his acting skills in a minute,” said the actor.
