The shoot of Satrajit Sen’s next film is most likely to start from January or February next year, instead of November this year. We got to know that that the film is a fantasy-comedy.
Swastika Mukherjee, Sayani Dutta and Mahabrata will be acting in the film. The scripting has been done by
Samik Roy Choudhury. According to sources, half of the film will be shot in Kolkata, while the other half will take place abroad.
“There are chances that parts of the shoot might also take place in Singapore,” the source added.
Even though we don’t know much about the storyline, we learnt that it deals with the life of a man, who spends half of his life in Kolkata, in one dimension and the other half in another dimension. “For this reason, the storyline is heavily dependent on the male character and we will finalise everything by the end of this month,” said the source, adding that the film belongs in the same genre of Bengali films like Jomaloye Jobonto Manush. But the story of Satrajit’s film is entirely different.
This is Satrajit’s second film. His debut film, Michael, starring
Soumitra Chatterjee and Tnushree Chakraborty among others, was a comedy. In the film, Tnushree played the character of a film actress called Maher Khanna. Mir, who portrayed a director, played a central character. Actress Sayani Dutta was also in the film.
