Director

Pratim D Gupta

is all set for his Bollywood debut. It’s an interesting story about vampires but with enough comic relief. According to industry sources, right now Pratim is shooting in Mumbai and will start the Kolkata schedule later this month.

While Tanya Maniktala, Adil Hussain and Shantanu Maheshwari are playing key roles in the project, three Kolkata actors Saswata Chatterjee, Rajatava Dutta and Kharaj Mukherjee are also part of it. Since his stellar act as Bob Biswas, Saswata has come a long way and he has cemented his place in Bollywood. Kharaj Mukherjee, too, has featured in a few

Hindi

films. On the other hand, Rajatava despite being a terrific actor hasn’t yet been seen in Bollywood that much. Now, it will be interesting to see what are the characters they are playing here.

Subhankar Bhar is the DOP after working with Pratim in his previous films. Pratim’s last film was Love Aaj Kal Porshu’ which got released last year. Starring Arjun Chakrabarty and Madhumita Sarcar in the lead, the film is a sublime tale of two people where ‘love’ is seen as an instinct that can never change no matter how much life changes.

Meanwhile, Saswata and Kharaj were last seen together in the film 'Habu Chandra Raja Gabu Chandra Mantri' directed by Aniket Chattopadhyay. In the children's fantacy drama Saswata played the king of Bombagar and Kharaj played his mantri.
