Sanjoy is elated

Sanjoy Nag received the National Award for the Best English Feature film for his debut film Memories In March from the President Pratibha Patil in a star studded ceremony at the Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on 9th September 2011.
Said Sanjoy, ""When I made MIM it was with the ingrained hope that someone will like it ... appreciate it ... relate to it ... on a cognitive level ...dealing as it were a subject which till now has been the butt of ridicule in Indian cinema (pun intended). So the award vindicated the stand so completely supported by his entire team including Rituparno Ghosh, Deepti Naval, Raima Sen, Saumik Halder(DOP), Debojyoti Mishra and his entire crew ... presently he is busy planning the next explorative journey across genres so as to not limit or restrict himself ...""
